Where can you get dinner on the Deer Valley side of Park City on a Tuesday in mid-November? Fewer places than in July, but more than the off-season's reputation suggests. Nearly every room still open belongs to one of two hotels. At Stein Eriksen Lodge, Glitretind serves dinner nightly from 6 to 9 p.m. and Troll Hallen Lounge is open daily from 7 a.m. to midnight. At the St. Regis Deer Valley, The St. Regis Bar and Brasserie 7452 are listed daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Down at the Snow Park base, Deer Valley Café keeps daytime hours, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily.
That list comes from the fall hours roundup Dishing published on October 19, which draws on schedules shared with the Park City Area Restaurant Association. Read by property rather than alphabetically, it shows something useful for anyone living at Marcella. Each hotel collection keeps at least one room lit while its other rooms rest, and the rooms that close don't all come back at once. They return in a sequence, and that sequence lines up closely with Park City Mountain's targeted November 20 opening and Deer Valley's December 5 opening.
One Room Lit at Each Property
The Stein Collection shows the pattern most clearly. Glitretind and Troll Hallen keep going at the lodge. Its sister rooms, 7880 Club at Stein Eriksen Residences and Cena Ristorante & Lounge at Chateaux Deer Valley, are both closed October 26 through November 23. The St. Regis keeps its bar and brasserie on daily hours and pares back around them. RIME Seafood & Steak serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, but dinner is dark on four dates, October 18 and 25 and November 1 and 8, all Sundays. La Stellina is open Wednesday through Sunday, 5 to 9 p.m., until it closes for a longer break starting November 9.
The resort's own outlets pull back the furthest. Carpenter Café and Royal Street Café are listed as closed for the season. The Brass Tag and The Sticky Wicket are listed as taking a seasonal break, and none of the four has a published reopening date.
| Property | Open through November | Paused, with dates |
|---|---|---|
| Stein Eriksen Lodge and Stein Collection | Glitretind, nightly 6–9 p.m., Sunday brunch 11 a.m.–2:30 p.m.; Troll Hallen Lounge, daily 7 a.m.–midnight | 7880 Club and Cena, closed Oct. 26–Nov. 23 |
| St. Regis Deer Valley | The St. Regis Bar and Brasserie 7452, daily 11 a.m.–10 p.m.; RIME, daily, except dinner on Nov. 1 and 8 | La Stellina, closed Nov. 9–Dec. 4 |
| Deer Valley Resort outlets | Deer Valley Café, daily 8 a.m.–3:30 p.m. | Carpenter Café and Royal Street Café closed for the season; The Brass Tag and The Sticky Wicket on seasonal break |
One practical note. Sunday, November 1, and Sunday, November 8, are the nights when the St. Regis has no RIME dinner. On those Sundays Glitretind still serves its brunch and its regular 6 to 9 p.m. dinner, and the St. Regis Bar and Brasserie 7452 keep their daily hours.
The Narrowest Stretch Runs November 9 to 19
Put the closures on a calendar and the leanest stretch is easy to spot. From Monday, November 9, La Stellina is closed. 7880 Club and Cena have been dark since late October. In town, KITA's dinner service and Shabu have both been closed since November 1, and neither reopens until November 20. High West Distillery & Tasting Room and High West Saloon close on November 16, and The Nelson Cottage by High West follows on November 17.
For those eleven days, the Deer Valley side is mostly the lodge, the St. Regis and the café. That stretch is also when Glitretind's nightly service carries the most weight. Glitretind's own site recommends booking through Resy or calling 435-645-6455.
The quiet doesn't reach every part of town. Grub Steak serves nightly from 5 to 9 p.m., LOMA keeps the same nightly hours, and Flanagan's on Main is open seven days a week. A Main Street dinner remains an option all month.
The Order Things Come Back
The reopenings follow a clear sequence, and two of the dates match the lifts exactly. Park City Mountain is targeting Friday, November 20, 2026, for opening day, subject to weather and conditions. Deer Valley's September 16 announcement says the resort is slated to open on December 5, 2026, conditions permitting.
- Friday, November 20. KITA resumes dinner service and Shabu reopens. Park City Mountain is targeting the same day for its opening.
- Tuesday, November 24. 7880 Club and Cena return, which brings the Stein Collection back to full strength.
- Thursday, November 26. The Hirsch's closure runs October 25 through November 25. On Thanksgiving Day, Goldener Hirsch on Royal Street hosts its Harvest Feast.
- Wednesday, December 2. High West Distillery & Tasting Room and High West Saloon reach the end of their November 16 to December 1 closure.
- Thursday, December 3. The Nelson Cottage by High West reopens, and so does Firewood on Main, which has been closed since October 24.
- Saturday, December 5. La Stellina reopens at the St. Regis with nightly service from 5 to 10 p.m., an hour later and two nights a week more than its fall schedule. Deer Valley is slated to open the same day.
La Stellina's change shows the shift on a small scale. In fall it's a five-night room that closes at 9. Once the resort opens, it becomes a seven-night room that closes at 10.
Thanksgiving Week Turns the Calendar
By Thanksgiving, most of the Deer Valley side is open again, and the holiday offers a wider choice of tables than anything since October. The Park City Area Restaurant Association's Thanksgiving guide lists Thursday, November 26, events across town. Four of them are close to home for Marcella.
Goldener Hirsch is serving its Thanksgiving Harvest Feast as a buffet in the Edelweiss Ballroom, with pretzel and fondue stations, seafood, turkey, prime rib, ham, sides and desserts. Seatings are at noon, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Pricing is $195 for adults and $55 for children 12 and under, and reservations through OpenTable are required.
Montage Deer Valley sets up its buffet in the Vista Lounge from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It's priced at $125 per adult and $55 per child ages 5 to 12, and reservations are required. The Thanksgiving Day Feast menu includes a seafood display, prime rib, turkey breast, salmon Wellington, traditional sides and desserts. Montage is at 9100 Marsac Avenue, so it sits a bit outside the Snow Park cluster.
Glitretind appears in the association's guide with a traditional Thanksgiving buffet and live music in Troll Hallen Lounge from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 4 to 8 p.m. The listing gives no price, so call the lodge for details.
For anyone hosting at home, Deer Valley Café has the earliest deadline of the week. Its Thanksgiving take-away must be ordered by 3:30 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2026, the same day Park City Mountain hopes to open. Pickup is Wednesday, November 25, at the café, 1375 Deer Valley Drive South, and orders go through 435-615-2400 or the online ordering link. The café's own page on the resort site gives a Thanksgiving Day pickup in an undated note, so confirm the pickup day when you place the order. Items are priced individually:
- Roasted turkey breast, $55
- Gravy, $25; cranberry-orange chutney, $18
- Mashed potatoes, green bean au gratin and wild-mushroom stuffing, $30 each
- Pies, $28 each; carrot cake, $48
- Pull-apart rolls, $28 a dozen; cookies, $48 a dozen
At those prices, a full spread for a table of eight adds up quickly. It comes from a café that has stayed open through the whole quiet stretch.
Hours shift in the weeks around opening day, and the Dishing roundup itself asks diners to confirm hours directly, especially around closures and reopenings. If you're mapping out the weeks between now and Deer Valley's opening day, or you have guests flying in for Thanksgiving and want to know where to book, Debbie Millar is happy to share the Deer Valley calendar she keeps.
